LAHORE – In a sigh of relief for hundreds of patients who continued to suffer at the hands of doctors, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) has ended its strike on Wednesday.
The doctors have rejoined their duties in the Outpatient Departments (OPDs) and Emergencies. Hundreds of patients suffered at the hands of doctors, as they are left unattended as the outpatient departments (OPDs) in all public hospitals are closed due to the protest of YDA.
Earlier on Saturday in Sargodha, at least four patients, under treatment in emergency ward, died due to lack of in-time treatment. The ongoing protests of the YDA are causing troubles to the patients and the government must negotiate with young doctors in order to settle the issue without further delay.
